Biography

Born in Salto, Uruguay.
He holds a degree in graphic design from the School of Communication and Design (ORT University), in Montevideo. He studied art direction and design in Altos de Chavón, Dominican Republic and Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was awarded the National Comics Prize in Uruguay (1995), as well as the “Presidencia de la Republica” award in the sixth Spring Art Biennial held in Salto city, Uruguay (1996). In 2000, he moved to Buenos Aires and worked as an art director in advertising. Few time later, he moved to Mexico City where he developed his career as a designer and artist for ten years. He was recognized in Mexico with the Young Art National Award in Aguascalientes (2006), and was selected for two Biennials of painting in the Rufino Tamayo Museum of Contemporary Art in Mexico City (2004 and 2008). His works were exhibited in museums and galleries in Mexico City, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, Tlaxcala, Coahuila and Aguascalientes. In 2005, he exhibited his works in the Italian Society of Culture in Salto city, Uruguay; and in the Subte Museum, in Montevideo. In the year 2011, he did it in Federico Sáez hall in Montevideo, and the Gallino Museum in Salto city. His work as a designer has been recognized in international competitions in Argentina, Mexico, France, USA and UK.
